Charlotte Cone1.png

We took Charlotte in to be spayed and they also did surgery to fix a potential problem common to the Golden Retriever breed, something with her stomach. Poor dog had a hell of a day and night at the veterinarian clinic. We will have had her since 8 weeks old for a year tomorrow. Biscuit, our other dog and the Alpha was crushed when we came home less Charlotte. He kept looking for her and literally moped around the house all day and night. He even refused treats. Biscuit being our 8 year old male. The surgery went well and she is home back to torturing Biscuit. :)

Yeah, she likely woke up thinking what the heck happened to me, where the heck am I? When I went to get her she went ballistic as soon as she saw me. Biscuit was all over her when I got her back in the house and has been looking over her.

We have had an unexpectedly nice weather - there is actually snow on the ground and sunny days! The dogs are getting a lot of free time. I cannot bring myself to break their spirit, so they remain semi-wild... but they are very friendly and good natured and they know where their home is.

Good for her. I see the crate in the background, I just folded up and removed Charlotte's a few days ago. We haven't used it for 6 months or actually she hasn't. Now at over a year old she still has yet to go upstairs which Biscuit does, I think mostly when he wants to get away from her. :)

Yes. SPCA let me borrow it for "a while". I use it open to split my house in two sections. Pat and Cami are together in their "half". My house is very open concept and we are working on getting rid of the crate - she no longer digs at my rug when I let them in the rest of the house. But I am afraid I will be totally squeezed out of my bed at night by the pair...

It is amazing how the two of them are slowly morphing into each other
