If it's your bank and you want them to honor a check for $100 at face value then you should have a checking account fee. Your check is a promissory note for X value and should be honored at X value, not X - an arbitrary $35.00 fee. They're not paying the teller $35.00 an hour, nor am I at their window an hour. Nor is their electricity bill running up just because I walked in the door. I don't think I 'USED' the bank. I think I did business with them. Based on their rules of engagement I played their game by their rules.@ThePanMan literally used the bank -- in every sense of the word.
