That your standard answer is "switch to Linux"
I've made no secret that I consider Windows malware, and this is for very considered and technical reasons. I'm the go-to IT guy for all my friends & family. They used to have all sorts of problems until I converted each of them to Linux. They have been quite happy since (and not so poor, either).

This is not the whole reason why I am pro-Linux/anti-MS. All I have to do is look at my server logs each morning to remind me of the MS worms crawling all over the net. It is a majority of my traffic.

I'm very interested in what you have to say. If you have the time, of course. Also, I'd start a thread about that subject later on.

So all the buffalo I've ever seen have been dewinged? Poor critters.
Yup, that last plate of Buffalo Wings you witnessed getting served actually grounded about 8 of these beautiful creatures.

My wife takes an opposing view, however. She wouldn't mind if every last one was in a cage. Her most recent encounter with a 'flerd' (flock/herd) of flying buffalo made a real mess on her windshield.

A man received a message from his Mexican neighbor:
"Sorry Sir, I am using you wife day and night, when you are not present at home.
In fact, much more than you do...
I confess this now because I am feeling very much guilty.
I hope you will accept my sincere apologies."

The man shot the wife...

A few minutes later he received another message:
"Autocorrect: I meant to write wifi, not wife, Sorry!"

You put that in the "Jokes" thread?

From footnote #47 (refering to an equation by de Broglie) in the book ATOMIC WAKENING -- A New Look at the History and Future of Nuclear Power by James Mahaffey (Pegasus Books):

My introduction to this concept as an undergraduate was followed by a test, in
which we were directed to find the wavelength of a rogue elephant approaching
at 19 miles per hour. "What's the mass of an elephant?" we whined. "Estimate
it," we were told. First, assume a spherical elephant....

p.s. I am reading a borrowed copy of this book and will likely end up buying my own copy.
