No Christmas songs, I was dragged to a carol service last night :(

I get my lads Christmas night out with all my childhood friends tonight though! You give a little, you take a little...

Around here it seems like Christmas is the time of year to spend more money on lights outside your house than your monthly grocery bill.

Our family has started the season this afternoon. We and out kids got together with Granny, who is 99. It's a bit tedious at the old people's home, but she gets a chance to see some family. Tomorrow, we go to the kid's place and open presents and have a meal. Monday, we gather with immediate family for another meal. On Christamas proper, it's just my wife and I. Many opportunities to feel thankful, even though the church service gets skipped.

Wine and cheese for dinner tonight with my wife. Thankful we have each other. Thankful that all three kids have partners. Life is pretty good.

As I am Orthodox and here in Macedonia we count the year by the Jullian calendar. So here our Christmass is the 7 January. On this Date we don't work. Else there are opinions do celebrate the Christmas here the 24 December, but the Christmass we will celebrate the 7 January also in the future. It is good to do not equal the holidays of religion. Let every religion has own pogress.
