Boston is a non-profitThat’s why I believe it should be non for profit like a library but just cooler. There’s got to be a model that makes sense so folks can enjoy and learn.... but also keep the maker space running without anyone taking over and hogging it. Maybe someone will figure it out.
$50 per monthdj what are the fees like? If the maker space had incredible equipment it might be worth it.
In the military I discovered that you can rent a lift and do your oil changes and maintenance for a token amount. I believe at the time it was $3/hr to cover fees and maintenance. There were tools and guys around to help. It’s a wonderful thing. My buddy used to make things in the wood shop...
I believe it was run by MWR.
I am looking to get rid of Mine, it is complete. Does both Analog and Digital. PM me if you want it.There’s one in Boston. I was about to join, but there was one piece of equipment I needed that they didn’t have. I tried to think of a project that I could do there...
And realized I had too many projects on my plate. And to pay for a new one didn’t make sense at the time.
I was also looking for an oscilloscope, but cmartinez suggested an adequate model that cost less than 1/2 of the dues.
