Before assembly .
Check for any leaky diodes and transistors plus open low values R in the voltage area as per the schema.
After this I would for forward.

Next get 2 pcs of 22 to 30 ohm 10W resistor. Wirewound or cement no problem

As I am making the Voltage amp of a SU450, I found the exact replacement for the Panasonic MA series SS diodes and Zeners

They are available at Digikey on call.

U have to look up the data sheets for the appropriate replacement no.s

I have attached the data sheets that I have on these parts for ur convenience

I think I know why your circuits blew. The replacements are SS Panasonic diodes not VARISTORS, as I have never seen a Varistor in a Technics. I had to spent a few Hrs to figure out ur issue.
And the 20A90 is a germanium which has 0.1V to 0.2V Vf. Not 0.65V as per ur replacement Schottky. Schottky's won't help.

I'll post a pic on the germanium one soon, which I have.

Oh yes, I'm game.
I've dabbled in fixing plasma tv's and such, and am always up for learning something new. Also, I very much appreciate your help in this!

I could not find the exact transistors, so I found ones with the same characteristics. - I hope this is not a no no, I've had luck doing this before.
The parts I've replaced are:

Power Amp:
Q325,326 -Replaced with NPN FJA4313
Q327,328 -Replaced with PNP FJA4213

Pre Drive:
Q318 -Replaced with NPN 2SC2705; was 2SC2631

Drive:
Q322 -Replaced with NPN 2SC5171; was 2SC2592
Q324 -Replaced with PNP 2SA1930; was 2SA1112

Diodes D316,322 -Replaced with 20A91 and D326 -the the series fix
Thermistor TH302 and resistor R358.

Q318 and R358 were visually burnt.
How would you like me to send you the schematic?

what is the Ω for Thermistor TH302 and resistor R358.
thanks
