G’day guys

I have a Technics SA-810 receiver that has suddenly decided to not turn off. The power button depresses but nothing happens and the unit stays on.

The “stand by” light is also flashing and I’m not certain that is connected to the power issue. The “preheat” light is also on and “thermal” is lit up. Again not sure what is normal.

Would appreciate any Technics guru help.

Yes I have the manual. I ended up opening up the case and noticed that the button was getting stuck. I sprayed a touch of Deoxit D5 in there and worked it a couple of times and the unit suddenly turned off finally. Hoping it is not a sign of anything worse occurring.

What happens after you pull the plug?

I responded to another question with the outcome. But when I pulled the plug the unit turned off but when putting it back in it came in again and would not switch off.
