Thanks for the follow-up. I definitely want a separate (side) heat box like mine currently has. Will look more closely next time I am at a big box store.

My current smoker works well but only has one round cooking grate of about 20" diameter. If I can find a similar steel grate, I can add a second level and make it swing out of the way for moving meat around.

More work on the grill station.

A simple, cheap and hopefully temporary deck for a few years.

Ground deck outside support frame. It's PT lumber but I don't expect it to last.

Corner cut measurements.

Underside strong-tie connectors.

Flipped with anchor stakes.

Need to install the tile board surround frame and supports with re-bar anchors for proper deck board screw surfaces.

He'll probably ad a gazebo, I'm guessing an octagonish shape. I would do it anyway, even if I'm wrong. I have bees too! Had'em painting, doing dishes, cleaning kitty liter.

A gazebo! In my backyard, not in a million years! The plan is to eventually build a four season Sunroom with quick access to the outdoor kitchen.

Excellent ribs.:D

Ribs in the foreground, and a scope in the background with a beer by the side ... what more could an AAC geek need for a perfect day? :)
