i have gone through the link before but they havent solved my issues
correct me if i am wrong
in case of synchronus motors we first have to supply ac to stator to produce magnetic flux revolving with synchronus speed then we supply dc to rotor to produce magnetic interlocking of stator and rotor.then what happens?????
if we have to turn off the machine how do we do that???????
what about the residual flux???
and in case of ac generators do we rotate the rotor and the stator provide us three phase currents????
If the residual flux is enough to create the torque the machine need to rotate then the motor will rotate otherwise the motor will stop. This is true if you remove the DC voltage from the rotor. If you remove the AC voltage from the stator then the motor will stop regardless of the DC current in the rotor.
