Someone please assist... 1st page :( (I suck)

why is V2 = (V+) - IcRc ? I think it is the answer if the left side of V2 is 0 (if current through Rl is 0)

What am I missing?

In the PDF we can read:

The battery voltages are equal to the voltages across the capacitors.
And it should be obvious that we are talking about steady state voltage (DC voltage) across coupling capacitors.
So, the output capacitor (C2) will be charged to the voltage we can see at the transistor collector. And this voltage is equal to:

Vc = Vcc - Icq*Rc hence Vc = V2.
