Paella is an easy one - give it a try at home. No reason to wait until you get back to Côte d'Azur. At the top of my list for street food is paella.
These pictures were taken at a farmer's market in Côte d'Azur in southern France.
Yes, I have made it a few times at home and it turned out very nice. But it still doesn’t beat buying and eating it on the go when you’re on vacation.Paella is an easy one - give it a try at home. No reason to wait until you get back to Côte d'Azur.
Ah yes, been there and done that.As close to a street as you will get at sea.
I had all but forgotten. When I lived in Italy (Naples area) I worked a second shift and worked at the naval air facility Capochino (Naples Airport) and lived about 20 miles north of Naples. After work a friend and I would stop at this place with a giant rotisserie and wood fired. There must have been a few hundred chickens on that thing at a time. A whole seasoned roasted chicken and a liter of Heineken worked out to be about $2.00 US. Early to mid 80s when the dollar was strong. Damn, those chickens were great.
