trying to stop the 3 minute timer on an ultra sonic cleaner of mine. I removed pin 4 thinking that would reset the timer but all it did was disable the OFF button. Any advice on how to completely stop the timer all together? Possibly a jumper?

 

Pull pin 4 to ground. This will stop the timer..

 

I did pull pin 4, it didn't stop the timer. all it did was stop me from using the OFF button... ‍

It is reset.

Connect pin 4 to ground to stop the timer. Or pull it down to ground thru a resistor to stop the timer.

if you connect pin 4 to ground permanently, the timer will never run.

It's unwise to leave any input pins floating.

 

Is the timer circuit part of a purchased product, or did you build it from scratch, or something else? What you have done so far still is not clear. Can you post a schematic of the timer circuit, or photos of the pc board?

No more pin 4 available?

 

If you want the cleaner to run for longer than three minutes then leave pin 4 as it was and connect pin 6 to ground. This way the timed on period will never end but the off button will still work.
