Has anyone tried to make song recognition software such as shezam or sound hood? As far as I know different songs are recognized by using a FFT to create a footprint of the song and then it gets compared with a database of footprints.
I researched a bit and found some open source projects such as echonest, but I would be glad to hear some suggestions from people who have done something similar or understand it. Thanks in advance!
