I have set up the simulation as follow
MOSFET =DMN6040SSD
GATE RESISTANCE = 1.2 Ohm
Gate driving voltage = 5v
Vds = 24v
Load =10 Ohms
So I am getting a value of 2 Amp on gate resistance

Question
1) Is this value Correct
2) What should be the average gate current to consider
3) I want to use Totempole output-based gate driver for this purpose, So what should be the configuration to consider?

1) Is this value Correct
Yes, the peak gate current is about 2A.
2) What should be the average gate current to consider
The average gate current is of little interest in switching a MOSFET.
It's the peak current needed for how fast you need to charge and discharge the gate capacitive charge, which is determined by the switching frequency and how much switching loss you can tolerate.
3) I want to use Totempole output-based gate driver for this purpose, So what should be the configuration to consider?
See answer to question 2).
Your gate driver needs to supply that peak current.
What do you mean by "configuration"?

Whether you use a discrete gate driver or an integrated gate driver, it can be configured as a BJT pair, a MOSFET par, or a hybrid of the two. See LTC4446, or FAN3100C/FAN3100T.

The simulation shows a peak of 2A but it uses an ideal voltage source to switch the mosfet.
You should implement the (totem) driver, check for ringing on the gate, then adjust the gate resistor size.
