Hi everyone, first time poster here
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading most of the posts here.
I am looking for some advise on the best technique to solder an HDMI micro
receptacle. The challenge that I am facing is because it has 2 rows of leads,
where the 9 pin row is recessed from the 10 pin outer row, and hence is not visible/
accessible when the component is placed on the board.
The link to the part is here:
https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data Sheets/Molex PDFs/0.4mmPitch,TypeD,MicroHDMI_ConnSpec.pdf

will be happy to get any advise on this,
thanks.

A hot air gun is probably your best bet if this is a repair to a board.
If this is a new build then you could fit the connector first and use a domestic oven (use lead free solder) as a reflow oven.

Thanks. I will try that.... Need to make an oven now!
Does this arrangement have a name/identifier? The hdmi type c has all pins in
the same row, but does not fit my needs.
Sid.
