For camping, I want to build a solar phone/powerbank charger. With a 1A panel, I would be able to charge my galacy s6 relatively quickly when the panel is fully in the sun, but when it is not it will charge slower.

Now I am looking for a way to still be able to maintain higher charging speeds even without full sun exposure. I was thinking about 2 or more 1A panels in parallel but then when they are in the sun they might provide too much amps that could damage some phones.

Does anyone have a suggestion about how to set this up? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

 

You can try the panels charging a battery in the unit that then is used to charge the phone.
There are quite a few devices like this available.
A hand generator and wind generator can be added too if you want more charging options.

No worries. The phone will only draw as much current as it needs.
