I wasn't going to respond to this thread, but I have to say that this goes FAR beyond the new layout. It's the overall atmosphere of the forum. The "I help you, you help me" focus is gone. It's all marketing now.

I must admit that I haven't seen much of a change in the forums. I never did go to the homepage before because I didn't find it particularly useful and I don't go there now as I find it utterly useless. So my AAC life is the forums and I don't think I can say that I've seen the atmosphere degrade here (yet).

Hopefully things will shake out so that you feel comfortable coming back at some point -- you are a valued member.

 

I don't like what I think is lurking behind the horizon either. But I've decided to go into a "wait and see" kind of attitude.
I'll give it time, and then I'll probably act based on more complete information.

FWIW I expect that it is not a lack of education, but, rather, a non trivial mind that 'plagues' you!

Well Matt, you have to do what you have to do I guess. I will miss your comments and post. I always thought of you as Tesla's student.

Personally I would not let things get to you be it here or any online forum. It's a forum and that is all it is. There is life out there beyond online forums I guess is my point and there is nothing in an online forum worth getting upset over. Take care Matt, I wish you nothing but the best in any and all your future endeavors.
