Hi,
Need someone can answer what is the value of this surface mount inductor coil. What is the dot and C mean in reading on top of the inductor? I cannot find the information on it. It is from a Sony TV main-board. The inductor was shorted and I try to find one to replace it. Thanks!

Yes, it was shorted. Ohms tested beep on both legs. it was two rectangle legs. I think it was 100uH.
Any idea or suggestion to find one match?

It would be rare for an inductor to be shorted; if they fail they go open circuit but I've never seen that in an on-board SMPS, it's almost always a shorted capacitor or blown MOSFET.

In any case, you cannot test a 'shorted' inductor with a beep test, it's resistance is far too low. You need to check it's inductance and Q with appropriate test gear.

The inductor is most likely good. Look at the wide copper traces going to the part. There is lots of current flowing in that spot so the inductor will measure very low resistance.
