I have a 220v 50hz 165W variable speed fan that doesn't work properly. It has 6 speeds controlled by buttons on a pcb that controls voltage the the fan. At the top speed the fan input is about 230v but it doesn't turn, just hums. However at the lower speeds with input around 100v it works fine. Any suggestions as to what might cause this?
Update, changed out the entire pcb with a replacement and now it works fine?
