I have project to read voltage every singgle battery in arduino ADC, and i make the simulation like in the picture.
I confused how can the voltmeter read the voltage eventough the swtich is open ??

What is the switch resistance when it is 'open'?

 

i understand right now, thank you for the clue. evidently in this simulation the switch have resistance eventough it open state.
i think because the switch is mechanical switch when it open the voltmeter dont connect ot output of voltage divider
