Hi there, I am in need of help to find out wether it is possible to simulate an LED driver ICs on Multisim, as part of my University project I am trying to convert an incandescent PAR can to an LED one including collour mixing an everything is clear apart from the fact that i canot find a way to simulate the LED driver ICs on Multisim as I need a proof of it working before building a pysical item. So my question is how do I simulate LED driver ICs such as: https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDet...SiCTL4jIKTkqTd02Fkg3qh4O1xfgLdIakboLOtWy0EA== The manufacturer datasheet provided all the circuitry for it to be running as intended but I would like to have this device as a component in Multisim and be able to simulate and test the results in order to proove it is working. Thank you for your answers. P.S. If i should be using other software rather than Multisim for this purpose let me know.

I checked on their web site and it doesn't look like the have a spice model for this device.
You'll have to ask the manufacturer if they can provide one or make your own.

Yes but it does not seem that any similar led driver ics have the spice model at least i can’t find anything

 

It's more work to simulate than test the actual parts.

You will learn so much more, so much faster this way.

 

Depending on how accurate you need the simulation to be, as a minimum you could use just a voltage-controlled current source to represent the driver. This would be a 'G' device in LTspice. Presumably Multisim has something similar?
