9. Describe a method using square waves to evaluate the fidelity of an audio amplifier. Assume the amplifier has a linear phase response. Would triangle waves be better?
A measure of the fidelity of the amplifier would be the amount of distortion of the square wave. Usually there will be some "rounding" of its corners and inclination of the vertical edges on a lo-fi system. In other words, high frequencies will be cut off.
