Is it good idea to put shield (thin layer of copper) between primary and secondary windings to decrease capacitance effects?

It is often added to Isolation transformers, it should be grounded.
NOTE: Do not make it a closed conductive path, as it will be seen as a 'shorted turn'...
Use insulating tape to ensure that the ends/body of shield do not touch.
