Er!! Okay... I think it's just supposed to be funny!!Seems like it might have a real-life purpose of (short) pulse generator (given square wave input), by making use of propagation delays.

Put and RC between the output of the inverter and the input of the OR and you've got a nice (low) pulse generator.

If you change the OR to AND, it becomes a "parental logic" generator.

I usually draw it with the input 'B' and a noninverting opamp circuit that has a gain of two before going into the logic portion. I would then quip that the amplifier was needed because one be or not one be wasn't well defined.LOL. Oh well. I thought I was being original.
