Those #6 TORX screws stripped?? Are you able to see the screw heads, or are they recessed?
I am asking because I have come across small screws that include a post in the center of the opening, so that they require a special security bit to remove the screw. The obvious intent is to make the product non-repairable by others.
If the screw heads are on the surface, I have been able to cut a slot in the head and use a flat-blade screw driver to remove them. I cut the slot using a very thin cut-off disc with a small motor tool. If you do not have that tool the other simple choice is to buy a security bit set of adapters. I bought my set at "Micro Center.
I have also successfully broken off that security post by carefully flexing it back and forth with a small hard steel screwdriver blade. That is tedious but it has worked for me.
