Selecting connector for mains 230V

Hi,

Is it considered safe to use clamp terminals for mains voltage?

I am thinking something like this:
https://no.farnell.com/wago/2092-1372/terminal-block-wire-to-brd-2pos/dp/2352413

The connector end will be sticking out of the PCB enclosure. This terminal is rated for the voltage. I'm just wondering if this type of connector is considered safe for this purpose. If the wires connected to it could loosen somehow, exposing the wire.

Should I maybe consider using something like this instead?

Thanks in advance! :)

Inside a chassis, yes (but you might have to use every other position to meet creepage and clearance rules). External for end-user use - a big NO.

WAY better. Designed from the ground up specifically for mains connection, it has its own IEC standard.

Thank you for your advice! The module will be pre-installed inside a small cabinet, but the end user may in some occasions open the cabinet door to access the LCD/button interface on the module.

Given this information, what do you think would be the best solution?

Thank you, all!

Do you know of any cheap C7 cables with free leads in the other end? I would only need like 0.5m cable, but all I can find is 2m...
