I have an existing PCB with two 25x2 connectors, 0.1 spacing. Typically I insert an IDC connector here.

For my present application I want to use a small adapter PCB into this space. I could use something like a 50 pin stacking connector, but very few are available, and none from the distributors I normally use.

Anyone have a suggestion?

How small of a connector do you need?

I finally found a good choice using the DigiKey search engine (it rarely lets me down). I selected the Sullins Connector Solutions:

SFH11-PBPC-D25-ST-BK (top)

SBH11-PBPC-D25-ST-BK (bottom)




Positive orientation. Lack a retention feature but friction should hold these in place.
