I've mostly only used the forums on this site, so I don't particularly care about home page changes, but since this seems to be the thread for criticisms:

When logging in or logging out, you're shuttled back to the home page. It really should leave you where you were when you clicked the Log In link.

I usually browse NOT logged in, but to view an attachment you have to log in. It's annoying to do so and not stay on the thread I was viewing when I chose to log in.

There is a workaround for this. Clicking on the orange "Log In/Sign Up" button will take you to the home page after you are logged in, but selecting "Log in" from the dropdown menu will return you to the page you were viewing.
