Hey. Can someone suggest a way to connect multiple slave devices( Arduino NANO or UNO) to a single master device ( Raspberry PI). The The communications will be two way - Either arduino will send message to raspberry or raspberry PI will send a messsage to a specific arduino


I have a basic understanding of RS485 but I cant really imagine how would I practically connect slave devices to a master device. How does the wiring look in actual world scenario? Surely I wouldnt just cut the rs485 cable and solder multiple wires to it and connect it parallel to all slaves?

Is there a specific splitter or a connector that I could use to connect everything together in a practical way? Thanks in advance..

Yes that helped indeed! So my circuit would look something like this ... I still need to find the most convenient way to daisy chain all the arduino boards together. Would you suggest any type of cable/module?
