What do I need to measure to figure out what connector i need to order? Of course count the pins but do I measure the overall length. The flip locking tab broke off. Thanks Michael

 

Hi,
The connector is of type 'FFC' or 'FPC'. There are various specifications to measure, pin count, pin pitch, top or bottom contacts, contact depth/length (measured on the flexible printed circuit 'plug'). You'll probably have to look for visually similar FPC parts, then compare the drawings on the datasheet with your own measurements to confirm.
