Anyone know of low cost rfid readers ? or circuits and components .
Max read distance is only 25mm. Fo model railroad project.

Here is a link to the rfid unit that thingmaker3 referred to on Radio Shack's website.

Sadly, the details of the RFID transponder do not include the range but 25mm (approx. 1 inch) should not be a problem.
