Your probes are similar in profile/sizing to the knives, and they're showing +/-5? Those little ovens should not have cold spots, especially near the middle.. For tempering, that should be more than adequate control. As long as you've got time and aim temp right, you should be getting what you want. (FWIW I'm a metallurgist, 20 years working in steel melting industry).

These are the results I've been able to achieve with a P of 17 an I of 450 and a D of 56 (GREEN). It has an 8 degree total delta from peak to valley.

Mine has arrived - Berme type c100 from Amazon. the instructions are good, 3 digit model but instructions are written for it, and get you to every menu. Forgot to put the SSR in there though :rolleyes:
I to have one of these 3 digit models but I didn't get a manual for it. Damned if I can find one in my searching. Could you please PDF your manual and attach it? I'm struggling to make any progress with mine.
