What was the mnemonic again? Somethin somethin somethin But Violet Gave Willingly?

We were taught it was "black boys" and "Violet goes without". "Black boys" is even less politically correct eek, but does at least specify which of the two B's is the black colour code.

 

Black boys? When I went to school in Vancouver there were no black boys (and no black girls). They were only on American TV.
I also can't remember seeing any Chinese kids in my school.
Vancouver has changed a lot. Guess why I call it Hongcouver?

The only Violet I knew was an ugly old woman. She never gave anything to anybody.

 

That's why "Violet goes without" of course. The "Black boys" don't want her.
