circuit is useless and makes no sense. plus it is drawn wery awkward.. R3,R4 are in parallel with R5 but places far away, with additional line crossings. placing three equal low value resustoprs in parallel would suggest there is high current through them, but it cannot be - at lest not from what you have drawn. because there are exactly three paths leading to this resistor back:
R9 sets the threshold at which Q1 begins to turn ON.
Q1 converts the slow RC voltage ramp into a sharper transistor switching waveform.
R2 ensures Q1 switches smoothly instead of snapping abruptly.
R3/R4 ensure the LED receives safe, controlled current.

a) R7 which is way to high and would limit such current.
Current limiting is problem here ?

b) Q5 which is also a dead end - C1 can be charged by currents through R9 and R2. both of which are way too high to make any difference for three 5.1 Ohm resistors in parallel.
Q6 is the master controller that decides when the LED driver section turns ON or OFF. If we improve the Q2 connection it will be better.

c) Q2 which is completely dead - no current flows through here.
Q1 emitter is connected to Q2 collector, and its base is in GND, it’s a problem.
Can we change here likewise,

  • Q1 emitter → small resistor → GND
  • Q1 base → bias/timing network (via R9, etc.)
  • Q1 collector → R7 → Q2 base
  • Q2 emitter → small resistor → GND
  • Q2 collector → R1 → Q6 base

It can improve, Q1 responds to the timing voltage. Q2 amplifies Q1’s output, Q6 gets a strong, well‑defined drive.

next, D1 is a dead short for reverse polarity. so connecting AC to J1 would blow it up.
SW2 and everything right of it does nothing. when SW2 is in position:
Leve D1 at this moment.

1. current through R8 has nowhere to go. on one side is insulator (gate of Q5), and the other is through Q3 with nothing to drive its base.
Is its same now in post #5 ?

2. not connected to enything so - nothing.

3. R11 conly connect to C2. 1uF make no difference anyway since it would be in parallel with C3 and C4 which are 2000x larger capacitance.

finally there is no load. for any circuit to do something, there meed to be some sort of load or "business end". this circuil lacks scuh thing. if J2 is meant as place to connect load (like 5W LED), then i am sorry to dissapoint you, R7 is a major problem to getting those 5W out.
Load is not mentioned here, it is a three‑transistor amplifier chain (Q1 → Q2 → Q6) that takes the slow timing signal from the RC network and turns it into a strong switching signal that controls the LED driver.

I looked at the initial schematic and my eyebrows furrowed, then arched up. It's a very complicated solution to accomplish the goal.

A much reduced circuit with a timing source (555-based or some other clock signal), a few passives, and a low rds-on power MOSFET switch could be used for a load like a 5 watt LED.

I'm a partisan of simpler, more robust, low-tech solutions to electronics needs or issues. My former employer appreciated that a lot.

Just my two cents...

@Mike VE2TRV could you kindly share any similar design is this regards ?

no offense but who ever gave you this circuit was high as a kite. the only time i have seen something like was in cartoons.
cartoons of course were meant as a joke. asking people to give serious consideration to rubbish you posted is ... insulting. but i did give you chance anyway by stating what was wrong with it. there is nothing there to even begin looking at. if there is a power source that connects to J1, it is not known. that alone makes it nonsense. same goes with load. you mention 5W LED but never which exact one. if this is created by AI, choose different AI. if this is something you cam up with, i would say try wiring it up. smoke and burned skin are excellent teachers.

i actually like this circuit way better:

It may make you laugh, seems joke or else. It may be completely "non-sense" to you. Better to say it's a back box. If I were you I won't spend time here where I can not recognize how circuit works.

Certainly the original circuit posted was both overly complexas well as being non-functional.
Unlike any "cartoon" it did not make me laugh or even smile. Attempting to even understand the purpose was a challenge.
AND, a noteof caution: bicycle generators/Dynamos often have one side tied to the frame ground. This is a terrible flaw that I have come across..

if you need a circuit, why don't you simply state what is it that you need? post real specs like supply voltage, load data sheet, describe operation (incl sequence if any...) that would be kind of help request, i can get behind.

but please do not insist on discussions on something that cannot possibly work, and have us try to decipher what the heck was that supposed to be. you have received plenty of comments that all agree that circuits you posted are complete nonsense. how much convincing do you need?

It is not only him. No one so far understands it either.
All I can tell you us that everyone who has answered so far, has 40, 50 or more years of direct electronic experience. If we can’t understand it, is because of it being nonsense.

What is required is a scheme to compensate for the wide voltage range from the bicycle alternator, which certainly, in addition to having poor voltage regulation, has an output that varies a whole lot even with a constant load.
The generaator output requires not only regulation, but also over-voltyage clamping.

It has been a while since I did one of those.
Last time I wanted to get a LED that could take full power when at high speed and not regulate at all. Very simple.
But the light goes out when the bike stops. It was determined the light needs to stay on for two minutes after the bike stops. So, we had to add a large capacitor/battery that needs to charge up and last for a short time. (as long as the wait for a red light plus some)
The generaator output requires not only regulation, but also over-voltyage clamping.
A power LED is like a power Zener diode. It will voltage clamp just fine. Full wave bridge, LED, no capacitor or small cap.
A car batter is also much like a Zener. It clamps the alternator's voltage while charging.
