I have a dt830d multimeter with it's circuit board with No.220282-B marked on it. The dc voltage segment shows 1 when a std. 1.5V supply is connected and 203 AC volts is displayed when 230AC supply segment is switched over. Please help me in identifying the defective component/s through a photograph showing the components and their values. The Model No. of the multimeter is DT830D - UNITY. Thanks and Regards.

... It seems like a possible cause of this problem. might be related to the connection of the LCD display to the main circuit board. So an attempt to correct the problem would involve removing the LCD connector, using electrical contact cleaner on both pieces of the LCD connector, and then reassembling the two ends. As I recall, there was a recent forum post describing a similar situation ... so try searching the forum posts for more details.
... as usual, no guarantees are included with this advice.
