Hi, I have a Basement Watchdog Dual Float Switch that turns on but doesn't turn off. I was wondering if there was anything I could replace on the board that would fix the issue. In my quest to fix the issue, it lead me to replacing the relay, but that did not fix it. Thanks in advanced.
Does the switch physically turn On and Off? I have seen plenty of float switches get stuck be it debris in a sump or corrosion. I would start by making sure your board is getting good data from the float switch.
Looks like a NE555 chip, is there one float to sense empty and when full, if so pins 2 and 6 will be the inputs and pin 3 will be the output to switch on the relay, pretty easy to repair.
@wasabad,
Thanks for your reply, we have the same switch on our little pool (30 gallons or * 5 litres).
The small reed relay inside was cracked. A new reed relay fixed it.
