I understand basic use of 12 volt auto relays but am stumped with this one...

Here is the scenario:
- Switch in dash, which when on powers parking light bulbs
- parking light bulbs are also the turn signal bulbs

Possible states are:
1. parking lights off, turn signal not engaged: Bulbs not lit
2. parking lights off, turn signal engaged: Bulbs blink
3. parking lights on, turn signal not engaged: Parking lights on
4. parking lights on, turn signal engaged: Bulbs blink

I know I need two relays but am lost at how to accomplish.

 

Generally parking lights and turn signals are a two filament bulb. with each their own circuit. Like this one.

Mine are not, plus I am replacing with an LED strip. It is an older car and the socket is corroded and new are not available and used are difficult to find.

 

What kind of car is this. Been in automotive for a couple of years and as @shortbus says, usually dual filament bulbs are used and no relays. This isn't homework by any chance is it? No worries either way. Just need to know year/make/model to give you informed answer.

What country are you in? They are available in just about every parts store around here, You may have to do a little fab work to adapt them, but nothing like making up a new circuit will take. Just a quick Google -
