there are many type of regulator like LDO,switching and dc-dc converters. when we should choose these regulator on what basis we should go for ldo r switching r dc-dc.........,

 

The choice would depend on what circuit it is intended to supply.

 

Things to consider are efficiency (power wasted in heat), voltage in and out, maximum current out, and whether isolation from input to output is needed.
