Hi guys

I am reading this data sheet here (page 5), I am not sure on how to read the timing diagram.

Data sheet (page 5):
https://www.linxtechnologies.com/resources/data-guides/hum-xxx-rc.pdf

Should I read it separate like this (see my attachments), separate the TX and RX? Or do I have to read TX and RX together?

It doesn't make sense for me if I read the TX and RX part together.

Thanks guys

Timing diagrams are meant to show all of the things that can happen in PARALLEL, and what times you can expect to elapse between events.

I am assuming TX and RX can't happen at the same time, and I have difficult understanding the diagrams with TX and RX in parallel. Guess I will need to read them again.

btw, any tips for me?

When I said "happen in parallel", I meant over the time scale of the diagram. If you notice the time interval BC, which is the time until the first receiver operation, it is listed as a minimum of 4 ms and a maximum of 50 ms. What does this mean? It means don't bother checking for Rx_SX until 4 ms after TX MODE_IND goes high. If it has not gone high after 50 ms then you have a problem and will want to take corrective action.
