WinXP on a WinXP era machine is a dino. Forget MPLAB X, upgrade the computer for everything else that's slow on your current machine.

Hi,
I recently got errors when programming with Pickit3 (Possibly clone?)
I was programming an 18F4431 PIC, running on 3.3V.
I tried refloating the components>>>FAIL
While waiting for a new PK3 and wondering about PK4, I fished out my PK2, which didn't used to support later PICs, hence the PK3
PK2 sets the voltage required for programming =5V. I tried an ERASE, a pop-up showed this PIC needs 4.5v for ERASE, so I set it at the max volts for my peripherals =4V and it erased and programmed.
Cheers, Camerart.
