Very interesting link. I had heard of bat bombs and the pigeon-guided missile. That stinky mixture would be very difficult to wash off, as anyone who has worked with those compounds can verify; although, I don't see the logic of using it as a weapon as opposed to a marker -- like we use fluorescent dyes today. There have been a few crazy weapons in modern warfare too, like the slime thrower.
