I still eat peanut butter at least twice per week. Had some peanut butter last night and had a Nutty Bar today.

I didn't hear about all these PB allergies, until the 70s.

I remember why I stopped hanging out with them, they made me paranoid

 

I had a bad experience with the stuff in College. The guys in the room above mine in my dorm smoked indoors all the time--they'd close themselves up in their bathrooms, and the fumes would seep through the vents. Right into my bathroom. I couldn't breath within 10 feet of the door, and ended up having to close everything off. Can't stand the stuff, personally. Heck, I can't even stand regular cigarette smoke!

 

Why no peanut butter ,you don't learn to eat it as a kid. What kind of kid sandwich

did you have. What was a lunch like.

I imagine that kids in the US eat peanut butter as a short meal in the afternoon, before they go out and play?

I usually had a ham and cheese sandwich, with a little butter spread on the insides of the bread slices. Other times mom would boil me some eggs. I also remember eating yoghurt with honey.

 

I spent two months cycling across Europe. By the end of the trip I was dying for peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Couldn't find peanut butter anywhere.

Huh..No peanut butter. Sounds strange to me

Overprotective parents using to much soap and water. The immune system need to be trained in the early part of life. Kids needs all kind of exposure in that age like eating some soil, sand, or yellow snow And not to mention some scrapes

I have a colleague who, at the age of 25, washes his hands a few times a day in the uni with antiseptic alcohol.

Now the skin of his hands is rough and flaky but he still continues this practice.

I remember fooling a fellow student quite well. We mixed tobacco with some coffee or something other quite harmless and said it was marihuana. Then we started to enjoy. Strange enough our fellow got quite high. And the rest of nearly caught death by giggling. He never quite forgave us that joke

 

The placebo effect can work wonders.

 

@ Derstrom ,Glad you are up ,I was thinking of you as I got involved in another

deal, thing. If you use your skills you can find projects that you can do ,that don't

take a lot of time. More....

 

For me its all about being trust worthy, my first appearance has been the the key to

getting trust. Self confidence helps also, nothing to lose and everything to gain.

 

@ Gerty ,have you had to use your rescue training ,are you having the rains.

I have one the bags with the orange paint ,4x4 blocks for lifting cars, a radio

in the area in case of hurricane ,a cert team training by the fire dept.

 

Don't depend so much on computer skills ,when the service go out ,you need to have

a back up. You need to know people and places to make things work ,where you

depend on them and they can depend on you. The same goes with money ,money

or barter has to be a plan ahead of time. The banks close for any reason you need

to be ready. Two Id's could go to five as a rule ,speaking of rules. All the rules with

treasury dept. have not been written for the banks.

I'm cooking my favorite late nite meal ,before I go to my project. Will be hanging around for

few. They make half size pasta now ,you don't have to break in half anymore. You may have

to pay more for it. Ragu sause ,what is the name oversea's.

 

I'm pretty sure, overseas they call it SAUCE. Like most of us in the USA.
