I just had a glass of milk...while I decide what I want to eat or go out and have

a snack. I may just sit here for a while and watch the Derstrom Hour ,an internet

story of a guy who works for a college of moral learning or yearning. A guy that

knows where all the parts fit most of the time. A study of diet for what size of guy.

How tall or how short, that could be a lot of people. Does he relax or stressed out.

Things you can't tell by typeing on a key board or just passing time. That what I am

doing ,passing time.Passing time and people watching are habits or hobby, who

knows. Still drinking my milk, the time going by...just .

You're too kind Loosie. Not sure how I missed this post yesterday....

But try this:

DerStrom: The internet story of a guy who works for a school because of his desire to help others. Who, somewhat disappointed by his own education, has returned to a university to learn from the students he is trying to help. A guy who almost never knows where the parts fit, and continues to seek knowledge required to complete the puzzle. While he fails frequently, he tries to remember that every failure is a lesson, and to pick himself up again. He has stories to tell, people he's lost, friends he's gained, lessons he's learned. Some can be told on the internet while others cannot. These are the woes of online forums. Discussions take place and people make friends, but two members must meet before one truly knows the other. This is the reason I am inviting anyone in the Boston area to stop in at the MIT flea market this Sunday. I would like to get to know my online friends a bit better.

By the way Loosie, totally unrelated topic: My sister is visiting in your general area. She is staying in Fort Myers for the week, I believe she was going to go to the Everglades today.

Regarding my education--

I am somewhat disappointed. I got a Bachelor's of Science in Electronic Engineering, but I feel I could have learned a lot more than I did. The first two years were mostly review--I had taught myself most of it when I was in high school. Over the four years I was at the university, I found that most of my professors were unable to pass information on to the students. The problem with my school was that they hired professionals--experts in the fields in which they were teaching--but had absolutely no teaching experience whatsoever. About 80% of my professors would just write things down on the board without really explaining how or why, and the students' only hope was to copy it all down and look at it later, to see if they could make sense of it for themselves. I tended to be that type of student. I had to scramble to write down everything the professor put on the board. I know I could have done better--gone to a different school, etc. I am regretting studying Electronic Engineering instead of Electrical Engineering. While I do more work with Electronics, I feel my experience would be better suited in the Electrical Engineering field. I could have had better jobs. I just don't feel I got as much out of college as I could have. That is why I'm back in a university, hoping to learn while I help others.

Professors have too must power now a days ,there is no need in there class room.

Schools want professors to turn out engineers or lets say business needs them.

If you fail or get discouraged your seat will be filled , professors are protected.

Look at all the nonsense they are involved in,read joeys post about being self

made. Depends on your age ,I can honestly say my motion was set in place at

16 , I was going to be some thing ,I turned out to be a self made person. I

filled in the blanks along the way.

I know exactly what you mean. I think my turning point--my decision to BE somebody--started when I was about 12 years old. I went through high school, worked hard, got good grades, did a lot of personal study. Basically taught myself electronics. Had trouble finding a lot of books, but I talked to everyone I could and read anything even remotely related to electricity. The summer after I graduated high school was my highest point, I felt like I was at the top of the world, my whole life to look forward to, and that I could really become someone. Then the next fall when I started college I got dropped back down to lower than I'd ever been before. It destroyed my hopes and dreams, ruined my optimistic view of the world. As much as I wanted to be a self-made person with lots of information to share and to use to make the world a better place, I kept hitting a roadblock. I feel my university held me back, with the strict schedules, the poor professors, limited access to necessary tools for learning, etc. I've been working on recovering from this ever since, and here I am--nothing more than a lab tech assistant at another school. I know I can be more, but I'm still trying to learn, to fill in the blanks left when I was in college. I'm having to backtrack when I should be moving forward. That is my problem now. Who knows--perhaps some time I can catch up and continue to try to be somebody, but for now, I'm just going to have to keep doing what I'm doing, and try my hardest to move forward.

I do my own form of prepping. Not crazy stuff but things that will inflate 1000X in a collapse I have in bulk.
Ammo
Seeds
Meds
lots of iodine and bleach.
Then basic survival tools.

I think thats as prepared as I care to be.

I been pretty sick with a stomach gig the past couple weeks but feeling better the past couple days. About to start a big android project I'm gonna be looking for partners for. Its too big to do on my own and think it could make tons of money. I'd ideally like to integrate google maps to work with it with GPS way points but I don't know the mapping crap. I can handle the GUI and database work but the maps stuff I'm a newb. But I think this app could be monumental to the point its a common name and bought for $9.99 a year or demo with limited features.

works good
You should I could show you the real city. We could goto my friends strip club and get comped all night then head to a bottle club another friend has and watch the machete fights between ms-13 and Latin Kings. Party Hardy! Pick up some ladies of easy virtue, go out in a boat or hot tub! Then go fishin and make cut chum and keep beer cold! We could have a time my friend. We even have a lil crash dive bar called the Crab Shack which rocks and has great food and booze. Then if you felt homesick we could go back to the hood to a place I saw 3 days ago called The Sore Elbow.
