Hi,

I've been putting together this simple circuit to test my new CO sensor which was quite difficult to obtain and thus do not wish to ruin it. As it states it says to add a resistor to prevent polarization? For clarification purposes does that mean to add a resistor between the "working" and "counter" pins of the sensor? Also, I'm assuming that since they don't show how much voltage is suppose to be applied for the opamp it can just be arbitrary (so choose like 5V)?

Much thanks, I've tested it with other sensor and it didn't work so well and I fear it was because I didn't added that resistor. Any clarification will be appreciated.

Wow yeah, what is with that? I went to their website and I downloaded the data sheet for exactly the same part and like you said, their diagram was different. Why would they have two datasheets describing the same part, but being different?

 

Must have been some of those darned humans involved! They're always screwing things up, you know...
