Putting the caps in parallel is a good idea, in series would provide a lower value,
More capacitance is what is needed. 12+15 =27, closer to 30 and that should work a bit better.
Thanks for all the info. The old cap was unrecognizable and i threw it out months ago thinking i had fixed the blower. It works but at a reduced air flow capacity. it is hard to get to the motor. Think ill try 2 caps in parallel.
