Question about PCB in my new project

I recently tried building a guitar pedal, but when i tested it i connected 9v from the battery to the circuit's ground pad on the PCB. It all started smoking, and all the components died. Is the PCB broken? How much heat can a PCB take before braking? When i solder, i sometimes have to put the soldering tip on the PCB for 30 seconds or so. Is that bad for the PCB?

Thanks

Different board materials have different properties. The green fiberglass boards are incredibly tolerant but not invincible.

I think the damage you did is more likely to have toasted your components rather than the board itself. If a PCB trace burnt up like a fuse, you could add a wire to jumper over the gap. But again, some of your components are toast.

Welcome to AAC!

If your post was any longer, I wouldn't have read it because you didn't use paragraphs to organize your thoughts like you were taught in school.

How can we say one way or another? We weren't there, so don't know how much smoke there was or if flames were involved.

All PCBs can take normal soldering temperatures for the soldering times specified by component manufacturers.

30 seconds is about 10 times too long. It's bad for the PCB and even worse for the components.

If it takes 30 seconds, your iron either isn't hot enough, has insufficient wattage, or your technique is wrong.
