Hi,

I have a stepper motor with a rated voltage of 2.5V.

I have a circuit designed to provide me 2.5V voltage. Without connecting the motor while checking the voltage reading from the output of the motor controller is 2.25V which I think is okay, since the rated voltage is 2.5V. But after I connect the motor without a load and run the stepper motor I get a voltage reading of 1V from the output of the motor controller.

My query is should I modify my circuit so it provides 2.25V when the stepper motor is running.

Check with a scope. Switching voltage taken from DVM tends to be less due to duty cycle
