Pushing Amplifier to far?

I have a B&K CT600 6 Zone Amp and on the first zone I simply use the Audio Out - no connected speakers. I send the output to my surround sound receiver. All of the other zones have speakers connected. When I set the default audio level for each zone, the zones with speakers are plenty loud at -30db, which leaves me plenty of room to increase the volume. The first zone where I'm just using the Audio Output has to be set at -10 for the default level to be loud enough. The issue is that since it is at -10 already, there is not much room to go before I'm at 0 and the sound is not really rocking the house.

Is it ok to increase the volume beyond 0, towards +5,+10,+15 etc.? Or is that going to blow the Amp? Is the Amp even being pushed since no speakers are attached and the sound is only being output on the Audio Output? (I am trying to avoid having to turn the volume up on the Surround Sound Receiver because that also works the TV and in the past a simple missed command would mean the TV viewer gets blasted away.)

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide

Updating this for anyone who may be in the same situation. I figured I would give the Line Out Converter connected to the speaker output of the Amplifier a shot and picked one up at Best Buy for $15, Part #: LC-LOC2. Works perfectly!!! The volume is now higher and I can still control the zone with the CT600 amp.

Bob, you are correct. I connected the Line Out Converter to the speaker output of the CT600 and it converts it to RCA line level - but it is a much higher line level than normally comes out of the CT600 RCA Line Level Outputs.
