The term 'frequency' is not appropriate for pulse waveforms and should not be used. The term pulse repetition rate (PRR) is appropriate .How do u measure the pulse repetition rate of any waveform or signal? How do u set up the o scope for measuring the pulse repetition rate of a signal or periodic waveform?
The PRR is equivalent to to the frequency in ordinary waveforms. So you measure that. Better quality counters have a setting for doing this, giving a direct readout.
There are several terms that appear in pulse waveforms that have no counterpart in ordinary waveforms. You should study up on all of these as they are all important. There was a partial list in an earlier post in this thread.
