I'm trying to evaluate a student version of PSPICE. I put a resistor across a battery and ran the simulation. The result was "Error: Node X is floating". The No-Help-Whatsoever feature said something to the effect of "fix the probelm and try again". Does anyone that uses PSPICE know what this cryptic and unexplained message mean?

Pictures, Pictures!

I haven't used PSPICE in years... but is there a way to dump the SPICE file? That will help alot too. Post that if you can figure it out.

You probably need a ground node, too...

Also, I doubt this is the issue with PSPICE... but with more powerful tools, I have experienced where the battery SYMBOLs are not necessarily tied to your power supply that you set up. You need to read documentation/tutorials to figure out how to set up a testbench or power supply/driving signals properly for the software that you're using
